As a therapist in NYC and Port Washington, I recognize the fast-paced, high-stress, pressure-filled lives we lead, and it is my goal to help my clients slow down, de-stress, and focus on emotional self-care and well being. With my compassionate, interactive, and nonjudgmental approach, I create a safe space for my clients to express feelings, fears, concerns, hopes and goals.

In psychodynamic psychotherapy it can be helpful to explore childhood origins and patterns from your past, in order to discover how previous life experiences and relationships affect your current functioning. Through successful psychotherapy, you will gain insight, awareness, and understanding to help alleviate symptoms, manage stressors, and enhance relationships.

I treat each client as a complex individual and not a diagnosis.

Together, we can look at all the various aspects of your life that could be contributing to your current difficulties or struggles. Whether you’re feeling worried, stressed, down, confused, or stuck, I can help you implement effective coping skills, and work towards achieving your therapeutic goals.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Psychotherapist with a Post-Degree Certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the American Institute of Psychoanalysis.

I received specialized training in working with teenagers and families, and help with family conflict, communication, behavioral/school problems, social skills, parenting, and divorce. In addition to my private practice, I have experience working in New York City hospitals, mental health clinics, counseling centers and schools. I have a Masters in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University, with a major in Human Development and Psychological Services.
